Somebody asked if there was a place on my site to offer donations for my photos. So, here's a list of places I ask you to make donations to if you feel like making a monetary contribution for the photos I've taken!
If you really want to offer me something, I will accept memory cards, so I can take even more photos at events for you!
Both my grandfathers. My maternal grandmother. My father. Friends. Even former students (Rest in peace and prayers, Jordan W.). Cancer affects everyone. You can also join the bone marrow registry:
The Charleston Animal Society is all about giving animals a second chance at a happy life. From rescuing and rehabilitating pets to helping them find loving homes, they do incredible work right here in our community. If you love animals, this is a cause that directly impacts countless furry friends across Charleston. You can bring in donations, send funds, or just go and SPEND TIME with the furry companions whose only wish is to have someone to share their unconditional love with.
Dorchester Paws is a local shelter dedicated to rescuing animals and helping them find loving homes right here in the Lowcountry. This one is especially close to my heart—I adopted my own rescue kitten, Quentin, from them 🐾. They give so many animals a second chance, and I’m living proof of the joy they bring into people’s lives.
This organization, founded by middle-schooler Wade Altum in Daniel Island, brings people together through basketball to make a real difference. They host community events and tournaments that raise awareness and support for those experiencing homelessness in Charleston. It’s a powerful mix of sport, community, and giving back. This organization is a testament to the power and impact a single voice -- no matter how young -- can have on others when properly supported.
The Pat Tillman Foundation honors the legacy of Pat Tillman, who left his career in the NFL to serve in the U.S. Army after 9/11. His story is one of selflessness, courage, and putting others before yourself. Today, the foundation carries that spirit forward by supporting veterans and military families through scholarships and leadership programs—empowering them to continue making a difference in their communities and beyond. Much like the spirit of Jimmy Stewart, Clark Gable, and Elvis Presley, Pat stepped away from fame and fortune and stepped into selfless service. Daniel Island hosts an annual Pat Tillman race to help raise funds and awareness.
Changed Lives Ministry is focused on meeting people where they are and helping them move forward. Based in Moncks Corner, they support individuals and families through outreach, encouragement, and practical resources. It’s a local ministry making a real, personal impact in people’s lives. They also support those seeking recovery from addiction and drug abuse, helping them complete the program and find fulfillment in serving others and healing their own spiritual scars.
The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Lodge provides a home-away-from-home for patients and families receiving care in Charleston. During difficult medical journeys, having a comfortable and supportive place to stay makes all the difference—and this lodge offers exactly that. Supporting others through one of the most difficult chapters in their lives is a service especially close to me. This foundation is just one of the many ways to show they are not alone.
Greater Good Charities works on a global scale to help both people and animals in need, especially veterans who cannot get into shelters because they are unwilling to abandon their pets. From disaster relief to food programs to animal rescue efforts, they step in wherever help is needed most. It’s a way to make an impact beyond Charleston while still doing a lot of good.
